Charles Frederick Hawkins & Alice Elida Welander
Charles F. Hawkins was born on February 27th, 1874 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. His parents were William Morris Hawkins and Sarah Jane Morrill.
Alice E. Welander was born September 25, 1885 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Her father's name was Peter Welander. He was a Swedish immigrant who changed his name from Nelson or Nielson when he came to Minnesota because of the number of people with that name. Her mother, Elida Ann Jenks, was a native Minnesotan. Alice grew up in Stillwater and then attended the Winona Normal School in Winona, MN to become a teacher. She graduated in ???. One of her assignments was in Scandia, Minnesota at the Hay Lake School.

Charles and Alice were married on July 27, 1914 in Grant Township, Washington County, Minnesota. This union produced 3 children:
